Access By Air

- Clients will be transferred by light aircraft (approximately 30 minutes) from Maun airport to Deception Valley Lodge
Access By Road
From Maun
- From Maun take the A3 (Maun to Nata Road) about 56km turn right to Makalamabedi (18km)
- Just before the Makalamabedi Veterinary Gate turn right on a sand road, you will drive on the right side of the fence direction South (73km)
- You will reach the Pfefodiafoka Corner Veterinary Gate (some people refer to this gate as the Kuke Corner) on your right
- Sign the register and go through the gate
- Stay left through the Pfefodiafoka Corner Veterinary Gate almost 24km, with the veterinary fence on you left side you will reach the entrance gate to Deception Valley lodge on your right
- Deception Valley Lodge is +/- 3.5km past Haina Safari Lodge
- Continue through the gate and follow the signs to the lodge for approximately 8km
From Gobabis / Ghanzi
- From Gobabis take the tar road to Mamuno border post it is 110km from Gobabais to Mamuno
- From Mamuno border post the first town you will drive through is Charleshill (here you can refuel)
- Follow this road up to the T-junction which is the Lobatsi – Ghanzi Road (from Charleshill to the T-junction is approximately 160km)
- At the T-junction turn to your left direction Ghanzi. (From the T-Junction to Ghanzi is approximately 40km) Make sure to refuel in Ghanzi
- This road leads you through Ghanzi in the direction of Maun.
- From Ghanzi to the Kuki Veterinary Gate is 110km
- Travel through the gate and turn right directly after the gate on the NORTHERN SIDE of the fence
- Follow this dirt road with the fence on your right-hand side for 140km to the Deception Valley Lodge sign on your left-hand side
- From the Deception Valley Lodge gate it’s about 8km to the lodge. Follow the arrows to the lodge
